mam..in tree diagram is there a limit for the diagram should be? how if the sentence is long..can we do the branch more than 5 or 6 in a sentence. bout the activity,1 of the plan is we will start a sentence "the man is runnig'(jus example)....so we have 5 group and each group will comtinue this sentence and do the tree diagram... example the man is running(group 1) and jump through the window(group 2) to catch the thief(group 3) who stole his bag (group 4)........and continuous....group 5) im not sure im correct or not its just a example what i planned to do mam...
The branches of the tree diagram will 'grow'...the longer the sentence, the more branches it'll have... As for your presentation, sounds ok...but only one activity for 30mins? Can you think of some more activities?
yup mam...that is one of the activity that I plan..we will have a meeting this friday n each of us will cum out with 2 activities..n we will choose 2 or 3 best activity from 4 of us....
yup mam ...30 minits..still remember my philosophy presentation,we just plan 1 activity and it was dragging too long..and all the students get bored... :(
hehehe...yes mam... still fresh in my mind... there are groups, tell that 30 mints is not enough, and some says that 30 mints is long and they dont know what to do when they fnish so fast... hurm...need to plan and practice what we going to do and the time management is important becox every1 in the group have to play their role...and walk around to facilitate the students...i do learnt lot of things...
mam,me too like this topic alot...during school days i dun like tis topic at all..but now m like it very much...its very easy peasy..hahahaha....yahooo....:)
The presentation schedule will be as follows: Group 1:11.30-12 Group2:12.12.30 Group3:12.30-1 Group4:1-1.30 Group5:1.30-2 Note: Come early to organize the class.Although you are given 30mins,technically,you'll have only about 4mins,give and take time taken for movement,preparation,etc...so like Kavitah, said, practise, practise and practise...and everything to move smoothly... GOOD LUCK!!!
I know it's difficult to draw tree diagrams here. You may do the trees on your own but in here identify the grammatical structures. 1.The girls sang the songs loudly. 2.We strolled in the garden. 3.My uncle has a house near the beach. 4.The robbers broke into my house. 5.We are working on our presentations. 6.I am falling in love with morphology and syntax! Note: Do you have sentences you would like to share with your friends?Post them here.
hurm...mam i still confuse with the question.. for example:We strolled in the garden .we(noun phrase) .strolled(verb phrase) .in the garden(prepositional phrase)
so.."in" is prepositional, but the is determiner and garden is a noun, but why it is under the prepositional phrase?can it be like this: we(pronoun phrase), strolled(verb phrase), in(prepositional phrase) the garden(noun phrase)..?
can noun phrase repeat two times? im really confuse in this part.... need your help mam... there are 8 things in part of speech and its applied in tree diagram through sentence, but how about phrase? is it only noun phrase, verb phrase and prepositional phrase?.....
im sooooooooooooooooooooo.. confuse.... need your help ASAP...mam...
Actually, i love this topic a lot... it is because i learned this topic in my Form 6. the difference is i learned in Malay and now in English. But i think i need to improve a lot because sometimes i couldn't differentiate between the pronouns, determiner, article and so on..
We strolled in the garden. Yes,Kavitah, good question...no,no,not pronoun phrase,hahaha,...that's why English grammar can be very confusing...pronouns are forms of nouns.. hmmm,so happy that I got you thinking...
i was in "la la land..." thanks mam....haha... yup.. certain information in grammar will be confusing... a lot of rules..which cant be answered why its like that...thats d grammar rules...
